The University of South Carolina Concert Choir, of Columbia, South Carolina, traveled with Incantato Tours on a performance tour of Italy and the Vatican State in March of 2011. The choir, under the direction of Dr. Larry Wyatt and accompanied by Dr. William Bates, performed in such venues as the Church of San Lorenzo & Santa Maria Maggiore in Florence, the Art Monastery in Labro, Il Teatro Flavius Vespian Rieti, Sant’Agnese in Agone in Rome, & St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican.

The University of South Carolina Concert Choir Tour is about to take off on Incantato's preferred airline: Lufthansa. And lucky travelers they are, as the members of the 2011 USC Italy Performance Tour are heading non-stop on the airline to Germany through the night and then continue on to Rome where the Incantato Tour Manager meets them. While we recommend that you do get some sleep on the transatlantic overnight flight, you are in for several treats such as hot towels to refresh yourself shortly after take-off, at least two warm meals served with salad and dessert plus two or more recent movies. "There are at least four essential ingredients for a successful and rewarding concert tour for young people and their sponsors —appropriate concert settings, advance publicity, opportunities for learning abut the areas visited (including exchanges with the local youth), and good logistical planning. The recent tour of the Akron, OhioSummit Children's Touring Choir through Germany, the CzechRepublic and Austria was successful indeed. The venues were most impressive and beautiful. The publicity produced large responsive and appreciative crowds as well as mayor’s receptions with recital opportunities at city halls. The knowledgeable tour guides and the visits with local youth and choirs provided an experience for the choir members that will not be soon forgotten.
